The "Octo-Deck"

This Deck is probably one of our most challenging yet stunning decks we've built.

It is beautifully nestled amongst a gorgeous sub-tropical garden and encompassed by a large Poinciana tree, which almost cradles the deck like a protective mother. This Deck really feels like part of the garden and is a perfect place to unwind and forget the stresses of everyday life.

It is built primarily from Pacific Jarrah, with some Spotted Gum Ballusters and Kwila Handrails. All connections are conceled to remove the harsh feel of metal bolts and screws, leaving the soft, subtle feel of timber.

Every second rafter is fitted with an L.E.D. light strip, on multiple switches to easily control the mood.

As an added personal touch, the hatch where the transformers are located was secretly painted up with both the clients Scotish Tartan. They were so touched by this gesture it brought them to tears.

Country themed Deck.

This Deck was built to give a rustic country charm.

The deck is Australian Spotted Gum tongue and groove flooring with a Spotted Gum gapped decking perimeter for any weather ingress. There is also a Blue Gum feature strip between the two flooring types.

The rafters are hand crafted from Cypress Pine and constructed using olde techniques of mortice and dowel joints.

The handrails are second cut from Spotted Gum logs as to highlight the "wane" in the timber. I then carved a snake in the handrail at the bottom of the stairs, just for a bit of flare and to add to that natural feel.

Recycled iron from a burnt out shed was used as feature paneling, also barbed wire was strung through the rafters like a fence to complete the country feel.

Carport

How about a deck that doubles as a Carport. Great for a sloping block.

This deck is built to such a high standard that it takes the weight of you vehicles.

Simply back out the cars and you have a perfect entertaining/BBQ space.

Relaxing out the Back

This Gorgeous property located in Ipswich now has a fantastic Entertainment area.

Where there was once uneven stamped concrete covered by ghastly fibreglass roof sheeting, is now a brilliant low level deck with an insulated panel roof to block out the harsh Queensland heat.

Perfect vision of the kids enjoying the pool and waterslide is now possible with the conversion of regular pool fencing to clear glass panels.

The Modern addition

This contemporary addition to a Qld'er provides the much sought after "Inside/Outside" feel.

By opening up the massive sectional Bi-fold doors, you literally bring the outside in, with fantastic views over the entire back yard from the Lounge Room.

Endless Possibilities

Whatever you desire, Upper Level Living can tailor make a Deck to suit your needs to any size and to any style.
